Eligibility Criteria : AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to apply for the training positions:

Domicile Restriction: Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of the North Eastern Region (Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh) are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate/Diploma: Full-time regular 4-year degree or 3-year diploma in Engineering from an AICTE recognized institution.

ITI Trade: ITI / NCVT certificate in relevant trades from a recognized institute.

Passing Year: Candidates who have passed their Graduate or Diploma exams in 2024 or later are eligible.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 26 years as of July 28, 2026. Age relaxation applies for SC, ST, OBC, and PWBD categories as per Government rules.

Prior Experience: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have more than 1 year of job experience after attaining their qualification are not eligible
Mode of Selection for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Merit-Based Shortlisting: The initial selection of candidates will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in their respective qualifying examinations.

Interview & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will receive communication regarding an interview and document verification via their registered email IDs only.

Medical Fitness: The final selection depends on clear verification of documents and the submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Medical Officer during joining.
Salary Details:
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the rules of the Airports Authority of India.
During the apprenticeship, candidates will get:
- Monthly stipend as per apprenticeship norms
- Practical training at AAI airports
- Hands-on industry experience
- Exposure to airport operations and engineering systems
